0.1.8 - 0.1.36


Hi,

Versions 0.1.8 - 0.1.36 have been 99% bug fixes. Re: the bugs, I personally apologize. It seems like the storm is over, so I decided to write an overview of the changes.

  • Added: Music for Paila's h scene.
  • Added: Volume control.
  • Fixed: The game broke after Paila's h scene.
  • Fixed: The game started with the "paila-is-missing" flag enabled, which made Pila's first conversation, Paila's first conversation, and Paila's h scene inaccessible.
  • Fixed: The hero started with a halberd.
  • Fixed: The game broke after Paila says "Let's go home" when going downstairs below B4.
  • Fixed: The event which should trigger when bringing Paila home triggered in the dungeon.
  • Fixed: The game broke during dungeon generation in rare cases. (I fixed one bug, but there could be more.)
  • Fixed: An item (e.g. a ring) could be equipped to multiple slots.
  • Fixed: Weapons and armors could not be enchanted.
  • Fixed: Enchanting weapons did not increase the damage of their special abilities.
  • Fixed: Mouseover descriptions for books on the ground didn't work.
  • Fixed: Mouseover descriptions for fireballs didn't work.
  • Fixed: On loading, some objects (e.g. staircase-associated abilities) didn't deserialize properly, which made the game break on some actions, e.g. unlocking doors, using the stairs, etc.
  • Fixed: After loading, the location's music didn't play.
  • Fixed: After loading, the evening-associated filter didn't get enabled.
  • Fixed: Loading errored when the save data's json depth was greater than 64.
  • Fixed: It was possible to load previous versions' saves.
  • Pointed the "feedback" button at the Google Form.

For the next update, I'd like to:

  • Add some dungeon encounters (monsters, rooms, etc.)
  • Add short character stories (incl. h scenes) for Viola and Torne.
  • Add hotkeys for special abilities, e.g. spin attack
  • Add some basic sound effects.
  • Refactor some error-prone code to reduce bugs going forward.
