0.3.x


I released 0.3.x; here  are the changes (that I can remember ๐Ÿ˜…).

Re: story

  • Added Seri (character); she has 1 conversation and 1 h scene
  • Added expressions for Viola and Paila
  • Added non-h cg for Torne
  • Added portraits for Hilde (innkeeper)
  • Added name input
  • Adjustment: Remove "I'm in love with you", etc. options from Paila's conversations
  • Fix: Made it so Paila doesn't discuss you being a virgin (in case  you had sex with another character first)
  • Fix: Made it so Pila's last conversation doesn't repeat

Re: gameplay

  • Added new monsters: fallen cleric, fallen lancer, fallen swordsman, bat, bear, troll, crocodile
  • Added new items: club (weapon), staff (weapon), cloak (armor), robe (armor), ring of acrobatics, tome of lightning, tome of short teleport, tome of web, potion of poison, potion of rage, scroll of enchant weapon, scroll of enchant armor
  • Added new item enchantments: <weapon> of blinding, <weapon> of poison, <armor> of glue, <armor> of poison
  • Added a childhood feat
  • Added new dungeon encounters: pick one item room variations (only weapons, only armors, only scrolls of enchant weapon, only scrolls of enchant armor), lake trap
  • Evasion system
  • Adjustment: Gold can appear in dungeons
  • Adjustment: First floor is guaranteed to have a return scroll (this might be removed later)
  • Adjustment: Adjusted Grent's inventory
  • Adjustment: Removed "on fire" status
  • Adjustment: Adjusted tome recharge rates
  • Adjustment: Features (grass, etc.) can have underwater status
  • Fix: Made it so the short sword can spin attack
  • Fix: Made it so you can't do startup attacks during startup
  • Fix: Made it so pick one item rooms don't have duplicates
  • Fix: Made it so fireballs don't hit underwater enemies
  • Fix: Made it so the tome of conjuration unsummons swords when it is dropped
  • Fix: Made it so shopkeepers don't equip their merchandise

Re: ui

  • Added title picture
  • Changed highlight color of menus
  • Added item stacks for scrolls, potions, etc.
  • Don't autoswap with piranhas and other enemies which can't be attacked (it was unintuitive)
  • Made tiles which aren't in field of vision a bit brighter
  • Added aoe indicators for targeting ui
  • Fix: Fixed dungeon music loop (it was a bit early)

Plans for 0.4.x, 0.5.x

  • Add more characters, with an emphasis on companions (check out the attached images for a peek at upcoming characters)
  • Add h scenes for existing characters, e.g. Chii, Hilde
  • Make it easier to manage companions, e.g. make it easier to manage behavior (orders), make it easier to give/take items, make it easier to equip them, etc.
  • Add combat systems (knockback, critical hits, backstab, etc.)
  • Monster behavior improvements, e.g. right now companions don't know how to use potions of healing, tomes of burgeoning, etc.
  • Add more dungeon environments, e.g. jungle, castle
  • Add more dungeon content, e.g. monsters, items, spikes, shallow water, flammable walls
  • UI improvements, e.g. name tags, stealth indicators
